You can setup wireless connection manually by referring to below listed configuration guide with screenshots. This guide is applicable for Windows 11 OS version.
Manual configuration guide
First make sure that you don’t have already installed AUA_WiFi SSID.
- Select the Start menu in your taskbar.
- Open ‘Settings’, then select ‘Network & internet’ on the left menu.
- Select ‘WiFi’, then select ‘Manage known networks’.
- Click ‘Forget’ next to the wifi network you want to remove.
In the search pane type “Control Panel”:
Find and click “Network and Sharing Center”:
Open “Set up a new connection or network”:
Open “Manually connect to a wireless network”:
Fill in the “Network name” field: AUA_WiFi
Choose Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
Make sure that “Start this connection automatically” box is checked.
Click “Next” button.
Open “Change connection settings”.
Open Security tab and check “Advanced settings”:
Check “Specify authentication mode”, choose “User authentication” and press OK:
Click on “Settings”:
Uncheck “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” and click OK:
Click the Network icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, choose AUA_WiFi connection and click “Connect”.
The “Windows Security” window will popup asking to enter user credentials. Type your AUA username and password for authentication (as for the moodle).
You are connected to AUA wireless network.
